New leadership may be on the way to Washington, but the Senate still remains under the control of Harry Reid and his anti-life coalition. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood stands ready to cash-in some political favors in the next couple of weeks. With taxpayer-funded abortion on the ropes, anti-life lobbyists are scrambling to secure new forms of government funding. And military bases are their top target for expanding taxpayer-funded abortion.
Here's the situation: hidden within this year's Defense Authorization Bill is an amendment allowing military clinics to conduct abortions using your tax dollars. Written by outgoing Democrat Senator Roland Burris, this amendment decimates commonsense pro-life policy and allows military personnel to perform elective abortions in military facilities.
Simply put, the Burris amendment diverts limited resources to elective abortions that should instead be devoted to healing and protecting members of our armed services.
It doesn't look good for the future of voter-approved Proposition 8, which was unconstitutionally overturned by radical gay Judge Walker. The allegedly "randomly selected" panel has two radical liberals and one conservative.
Judge Michael Daly Hawkins is a Clinton-appointee who helped legislate from the bench the anti-discrimination laws in the workforce. When they aren't busy making death threats against Mormons The San Francisco Chronicle describes Hawkins as a moderate.
Judge Stephen Reinhardt is well known as the most liberal judge in the 9th circuit, and that's saying something! He recently legislated from the bench that denying health coverage to a same-sex spouse is not allowed. If that isn't enough for the Jimmy Carter appointee, Reinhardt's wife was Executive Director of the ACLU of Southern California Ramona Ripston.
Judge N. Randy Smith is a Mormon who attended BYU, and a Bush appointee. I think it's safe to say he isn't liberal.
Local Fox news station KSAZ covered-up the Mesa Mormon Christmas lighting ceremony with a despicable propaganda piece that spread ugly and brazen lies about the religion.
At the same time the LDS church turns on 600,000 Christmas lights Friday night at the Mesa temple, the group lit candles and snuffed them out. The gesture symbolizes gay Mormons who have committed suicide, and is a call for tolerance and acceptance.
Fox assumes that around 600,000 Mormons committed suicide because they were gay, but no where in the article do they provide a single statistic about gay Mormnos. Fox illogically assumes that gay Mormons commit suicide because: "Arizona's suicide rate is one-third higher than the national average, and the state also has a large population of Mormons, so based on the numbers inferences can be made."
Yes, you read that right.
Fox goes on to make ridiculous assumptions about how many Mormons are gay: "People who support the outreach program say Arizona has about 400,000 Mormons, and based on population statistics, roughly 40,000 are gay." So a radical gay group falsely claims 10% of the population is gay... and that means there must be 40,000 gay Mormons in Arizona?? Suicide rates were 4 times higher among males than females; so does that mean 4 times more males are gay than females?? Does Belarus have 3 times more gays than the United States?
FOX 10 goes on to attack the Mormon church as intolerant and hateful: "Gay people say the Mormon church considers them sinners and has no place for them.... "You know it is not me that has a problem, it is the church that has a problem with who I am."
But gay current and former church members say, suicides among gay Mormons will not decline until the LDS church stops considering homosexuality a sin.""
How tolerant and accepting!!
Fox points to Utah's high suicide rate to implicate Mormonism, but Utah actually has a smaller suicide rate than Wyoming, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, and Idaho. So it would seem that as Mormonism is more present, the lower the suicide rate! That's because active Mormons are 7 times less likely to commit suicide than inactive members.
Millions of Americans still don't understand the significance of the event we all know as "Climate Gate" (well, except for Wikipedia, who's liberal editors have renamed it "Climatic Research Unit email controversy").
The international liberal hoax/power grab at the highest levels of government and academia has been brought to its knees.
Are the new scanners as safe as TSA claims? My guess is probably not. The fact that they haven't been properly studied, but are being pushed so hard elicits some red flags. TSA and GE have neglected to do the tests that doctors and scientists are demanding. They have disregarded expert questions repeatedly (when these experts have zero to gain and GE has 30 million).
Scientists and doctors (in the fields of biochemistry, biophysics, cancer research, x-ray crystallography and imaging) at UC San Francisco have raised some important concerns that are summarized below.
- There has not been a meeting of an impartial panel of experts, including medical physicists and radiation biologists, where ALL of the available relevant data is reviewed.
- The majority of the energy dose is delivered exclusively to the skin, which is dangerously high because it is not dispersed to the entire volume of the body. This is where TSA lied--see the next point.
- TSA and GE misled the public by only getting indirect radiation testing (which shows the diluted dispersion throughout the body) rather than quantifying the Flux (the dose being deposited to the skin). They avoided the independent safety data so they could falsely claim that "It's like being on an airplane flight for 3 minutes".
- If determining the Flux data (which is more relevant anyway) would put the whole radiation concern to rest, why hasn't this been done? Why are they avoiding it?
- The danger to susceptible groups (children, elderly, the immunocompromised, pregnant women, those at risk for testicular and breast cancer) has not been studied sufficiently and specific guidelines have not been released regarding their risk.
- Any glitch in the hardware or software that stops or slows the scan may cause an intense dose of radiation to a single spot on the skin. Will the TSA agent even notice the glitch? Who oversees it being fixed and ensures it is "safe" to use again?
- What keeps a TSA agent from raising the dose just a bit to get higher resolution on a certain area they need to see clearly? What if the higher resolution is needed at particularly sensitive anatomy? Is this justified?
Fox News ran a special report today on the militarization of the Texas Department of Public Safety to deal with the increasingly lethal drug cartels.
“I never thought that we’d be in this paramilitary type of engagement. It's a war on the border," said Captain Stacy Holland with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Holland leads a fleet of 16 state-of-the-art helicopters that make up the aviation assets used by the Texas DPS to fight Mexican drug cartels.
In recent years, the cartels have become bolder and more ruthless.
They cross the border with AK-47s on their backs, wearing military camouflage. They recruit in prisons and schools on the American side. Spotters sit in duck blinds along the Rio Grande and call out the positions of the U.S. Border Patrol.
To combat the cartels, the Texas Department of Public Safety is launching a counterinsurgency.
Tactical strike teams send field intelligence they gather to Austin to a joint operation intelligence center, or JOIC in military terminology.
“It certainly is a war in a sense that we’re doing what we can to protect Texans and the rest of the nation from clearly a threat that has emerged over the last several years,” said Former FBI prosecutor Steve McCraw, who runs the undeclared "war."
In other news, President Barack Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano have recently said the Mexican border is more secure now than it has been in 20 years.
Naked photos of passengers from scanners were illegally stored in Florida, 35,000 photos in all. Another TSA lie exposed. Napitoliano claimed the machines were unable to save photos and it was their strict policy never to save the images.
What else are they lying about? Radiation is the main concern. I don't buy their claim that it is safe. Like with any x-ray device, I'm sure it pumps the body with radiation and puts frequent fliers at a high risk of getting cancer.
If you want the government to keep logs of nude photos of you that's fine, but I don't. Children have to walk through this device. How many pedophiles work in the TSA?
A happy ending to the anti-America tyranny at Denair Middle School in Del Rio, California:
Not only are the new imaging machines a violation of traveler's privacy, they don't work according to a leading Israeli airport security expert.
"I don't know why everybody is running to buy these expensive and useless machines. I can overcome the body scanners with enough explosives to bring down a Boeing 747," Rafi Sela told parliamentarians probing the state of aviation safety in Canada.
"That's why we haven't put them in our airport," Sela said, referring to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport, which has some of the toughest security in the world.
The Israeli's use Behavioral Profiling to detect bombers, not bombs. They have been very effective.
The most effective check, as many analysts have commented, remains the human one, Israeli-style, designed to detect bombers rather than bombs. The system works: every passenger in the queue for the check-in at Ben-Gurion airport, or for any El Al flight elsewhere, is questioned, if only for a few seconds, by a trained ‘selector,’ who can basically conclude within a few seconds from someone’s reactions - body language and facial expressions more than verbal responses - to questions such as ‘Where did you come from just now?’ and ‘Did you pack your bags yourself and did anyone give you anything to take to someone else at your destination?’ who might be a potential threat from who is just the average tourist. This leaves time to ask people who might be a threat more searching questions before even considering whether to search them and their bags or not. As Daniel Pipes reminds us in an article almost 21 years ago, this is what saved an El Al flight from London in April 1986 from being blown up by the completely unwitting Ann-Marie Murphy, in whose luggage her Arab boyfriend had hidden a bomb.
Lifted from the excellent blog, Bluegrass Pundit.
A passenger named Barbara wrote to WND: "Coming directly from a 2-week hospital stay, arriving in a wheelchair, unable to walk or stand, and just less than 2 hours out of the hospital, I was met by the 'security' folks who seemed angered that I couldn't walk through their scan. Instead, in front of everyone, I was groped like a rapist might attack a victim. The probing certainly did not help alleviate the intense pain I had when I arrived at the airport. Shameful and inconsiderate behavior, totally inexcusable! I am an 84-year-old white female, 4'10", 110 lbs. and don't look like a terrorist or a terrorist's companion !!!!!! What happened to common sense???"
Another passenger, David, told WND he traveled to attend a sister's funeral in Los Angeles and found the security procedures at LAX "like a racist homosexual grope fest."
"This screener made me turn all my pockets inside out, patted me down four times, being particularly attentive to my crotch and butt. I asked him if he just wanted me to strip down naked and he said go ahead. My wife then approached a nearby sheriff, who brought these violations of my privacy, and person, to a halt," said the passenger, who described himself as a "middle class white guy."
"Oh yeah, it took him half an hour to maul me, misplaced my boarding pass, and almost made me miss my flight. Security is one thing, but a license to molest people is another," he said...
Another woman wrote...
Finally, a Delta agent checked again for me and said, "Yes, there is a flight I can put you on, but it leaves in 5 minutes, here is your ticket and boarding pass, RUN." So I did and [he] came with me. He told the situation to the first TSA agent and there weren't many people in that line, so I moved quickly up to the security check. A man, was scanning my OVERNIGHT bag (no big luggage at all) and my purse and motioning me through. A big stern-looking African American woman stopped him and said that she needed to pat me down, wan[d] me, go through my luggage, etc. The other TSA man told her that my flight was about to leave and that he knew that my purse and bag were fine. I was wearing open flip-flops, a cotton skirt and a t-shirt. I am as American looking as apple-pie! Then my nightmare started. She had me spread my legs and she SLOWLY frisked me. Then I said, "Can I go now, my flight is so important to me, I'm attending a funeral?" That made her furious. She informed me that I was NOT co-operating with her and that she was IN CHARGE, and that crying (I was sobbing) would not do me any good at all with her. The other TSA officer begged her to let me catch my flight, … she blew him off.
The result was that the woman, Lana, missed her flight and the funeral.
Margaret, who endured a "pat-down" in Chicago, wrote, "This entire thing is bull----; assault and battery by a goon, or naked pictures. That's now the choice? What has happened to this country?"....
"All seemed to be fine. But the TSA employee asked me to step aside to the table. She needed to see what was in the carry-on. I knew there couldn't be anything suspicious in the bag, so I thought this was just a 'random' thing. (And we all know how many terrorists have been caught by 'random' screenings). But, no, it wasn't random at all. The screener at the belt saw something in the bag he 'didn't like,'" she told WND.
"My trip had been to Wisconsin. While there I had purchased eight pounds of fudge at a fudge shop. It was packaged in eight-one pound boxes. The boxes fit snugly in the bottom of the carry-on. … The TSA employee asked me to empty the contents on to the table and open up each and every one of the boxes. I tried to tell her it was just fudge. But, she was the almighty TSA, not to be denied. They have all that power and, OH, how they love to use it. She then called yet another TSA person over to examine the 'contraband.' By this time I'm sure she realized it was just what I said it was – fudge. But she had to justify herself. I was expecting a SWAT team, with automatic weapons to swoop down on me at any time. (I'm not sure, but I thought I heard the strains of 'Valkyrie' in the background.) Also, by this time, the aroma of fudge could be smelled throughout the terminal. Finally, they all agreed it was just fudge," she said."

San Jose, California school Live Oaks recently kicked students off campus for wearing the American flag:
In an article by Steven Baldwin, a hard-hitting syndicated radio talk show host in the San Diego area, there are ten good reason why California missed out on the Tea Party Revolution that rolled across the United States last Tuesday.
Even states like Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Florida and others heard the message that has been sent over the past eighteen months that we've had enough. Enough of the over-reach of the Federal government into our personal lives. Enough of over-spending with our tax dollars. Enough of the assaults on our Constitution.
But California missed that message. California elected dozens of hard left candidates and removed the 2/3 vote in the Legislature that protected us from out of control budgets. California will pay a huge price for this down the road.
Here are the reasons that Steven Baldwin believes are the chief ones:
#1 - The Unions totally control this state unlike any other state. The Assembly Democrat Caucus outspent the Republican Assembly Caucus 8 - 1 and 80% of the Democrat money came from unions. No other special interest group has this level of power and money. On the other hand Republicans have to raise their money from voluntary sources.
#2 - The business world supports the Democrats. Most of us didn't realize this, but every single business PAC in California, except for three, gave more money to the Dems than to the Reps. Why? Because they feel the Dems are in power indefinitely and want access in order to protect their industry from bad legislation. Unfortunately, the alligators will eventually eat them as well.
#3 - The State GOP Leadership is incompetent and should all resign. If we are losing seats in the biggest election year for Republicans and Conservatives in 100 years, there's a problem with the candidates that they are putting out there for us to vote on. They're not listening to the voice of their people.
#4 - The Tea Party movement is not yet effective in California. Unfortunately, California is carried by San Francisco and Los Angeles. Without inroads in those two areas, we will never move California back to the prosperous state that it once was.
#5 - Voter fraud is alive and well in California. ACORN has reconstituted itself under new names. They are active all over California and seem to have no fear of the authorities. ACORN chapters engaged in massive fraud in San Diego and elsewhere and no one ever even investigated their activities despite pleas from local officials. It is estimated that there were at least 50,000 fraudulent voters registered to vote in San Diego County. Most likely it would be ten times that statewide.
#6 - Obama ignored our military voters. The Obama Administration refused to enforce federal law that requires states to develop a plan to get ballots out to military veterans in a timely fashion. As a result, hundreds of thousands of military personnel based here in California were unable to vote.
#7 - California public schools teach progressive values. Schools are no longer teaching the student about our American history and founding. They are no longer taught the Constitution and its values. Instead, they are taught morals and values that usurp that of the family. They've lost sight of the three R's.
#8 - California culture has diluted the intellect of our voters. More than any other state, California is saturated with the Hollywood entertainment culture. The average Californian knows more about Snooky and other reality shows than they do their own government. Our obsession with Hollywood has created a generation that is shallow and does not seem to care about anything but the next thrill or show plot.
#9 - The Left has targeted Hispanics for indoctrination. There are scores of leftist groups in California that target Hispanics for indoctrination. They perpetrate myths about the Republican Party that have little to do with reality. They believe that we are only for the rich and not for the hard working individual of this state. The Left loves to exploit immigrants for their own political gain.
#10 - Arnold Schwarzenegger proved there's no distinction from Republicans and Democrats and Whitman's views didn't help either. Our current governor embraced many tenants of the left, thereby undermining the reputation of his own party in California. Whitman's support of Schwarzenegger's liberal views on global warming, abortion funding, gay rights, etc. confirmed for many voters that the Republican Party was no longer (and hasn't been for a long time) a conservative party.
Can California ever be turned around?
We definitely have our work cut out for us, but I believe that we can. We didn't get here overnight and we won't get out overnight. I also believe that if we take each of Steve Baldwin's reasons, there are things that we can and should do over the next two years.
Here are my suggestions:
#1 - Dealing with the unions. A "Pay-check Protection" initiative needs to pass in order to disrupt the union money machine. We tried this year, but were so new and not yet organized, it didn't make the ballot. I believe that we can do this again and this time, it will get on the ballot.
#2 - Business supporting the Dems. We need to get involved with businesses and their PACS and encourage them to put their principles first and support pro-business candidates. If we can do that, we can turn California around.
#3 - Central Committees. We need to get our local Tea Party Patriots on our local Central Committees to help set policy for choosing candidates. With TPP individuals involved in these committees, we can see to it that true conservative candidates are put on the ballot.
A word of caution however. We cannot become part of the GOP, we need the GOP to become Tea Party Patriots. That is a true area of concern.
We in no way want to be identified as Republicans.
#4 - Making an impact in California. Tea Party Patriots need to seek out conservative individuals and work with them to run for offices. We need to learn how to draft solid candidates and help them get involved with campaign schools that are run by Tea Party Patriots.
We also need to help those that live in those areas that we term "The belly of the beast" and help them launch groups. We need to back them and support them and be ready to intervene for them as they make that decision.
#5 - Dealing with voter fraud. To get rid of voter fraud, we need to draft legislation that would require identification when registering to vote as well as when going to the polls.
Another step we need to take is during voting, TPP need to be poll watchers.
#6 - Protecting our military. We need to support our military to see to it that they have their opportunity to vote. Of all the voters, they need to be protected. Prior to the election, the CA TPP leadership were working with our local legislators making sure that our men and women received their ballots.
Pacific Justice Institute has taken the charge for us as well and we all need to contact our legislators when the new session begins and demand that they have checks in place to protect our military.
#7 - Getting involved on the local level of government. It is imperative that we get our members on local school boards. NorCal had the County Board of Registrars come and speak to our group prior to the deadline for filing to run for local offices. After that meeting, we had 17 go and sign up to run for local positions that were open. We got several on local school boards, the water districts and even city councils. We need to accelerate this effort in the next two years.
#8 - Our Hollywood culture. As for the Hollywood culture penetrating our society, that begins with the homes and family. It can be influenced by us as we set an example for them to follow. Be your own person. Think for yourself. Move away from the TV and do your own research to understand why you believe what you believe.
#9 - Getting the Hispanics along side. So many Hispanics have true core values that are in alignment with ours. We need to give them opportunities to speak whenever possible. Beyond that, we need to encourage, equip and support those individuals to go into their communities to educate their voters and to start their own Tea Party Patriots group.
#10 - Combating the role of the Republican Party vs. the Tea Party Patriots. We need to realize that not all TPP candidates won their election. We have been criticized in the media for that saying that the Republicans didn't get control of the Senate by supporting conservatives. They say that we could have had even more seats in the House if we hadn't nominated a TPP candidate. I disagree with that.
I admire those who didn't win as much as those who did for standing on principle and not compromising just to get elected. I might point out that those so-called "moderate" candidates, like Meg Whitman, were soundly defeated because there is not much difference in the two.
Let's send a message that we want Conservatives running for office to represent us in Congress and not those who are willing to compromise the values and principles of our Constitution.
It will take a lot to turn around California but we can do it. We can't if we quit or get discouraged. We can't if we think that we need to compromise on our core values. We can't if we think that the Republican Party is the answer to our problems.

Three Iowa Supreme Court justices lost their seats Tuesday in a historic upset fueled by their 2009 decision that allowed same-sex couples to marry.
Vote totals from 96 percent of Iowa's 1,774 precincts showed Chief Justice Marsha Ternus and Justices David Baker and Michael Streit with less than the simple majority needed to stay on the bench.
Their removal marked the first time an Iowa Supreme Court justice has not been retained since 1962, when the merit selection and retention system for judges was adopted.
The decision is expected to echo to courts throughout the country, as conservative activists had hoped. (Des Moines Register)
Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye- NO- Nominated by Gov. Backstabber, Tani gets the full support of radical liberal media like SFGate as a "moderate Republican." Liberal Maxine Waters doesn't like her, so that's something she has going for her, but I can't find any rulings from her anywhere. Better safe than sorry.
Ming W. Chin- YES- Voted to uphold proposition 8 against gay marriage.
Carlos R. Moreno- NO- Voted to legalize gay marriage in 2008 and against proposition 8. For the others, I'm just going to do the opposite of Maxine Waters' recommendations.
YES: Robert Mallano, Tricia A. Bigelow, Victoria G. Chaney, Walter Croskey, Steven Suzukawa, Orville “Jack” Armstrong, Paul M. Coffee, Frank Y. Jackson, Elizabeth Annette Grimes.
NO: Jeffrey W. Johnson, Judith M. Ashmann, Steven Z. Perren, Laurie D. Zelon.
Proposition 19- NO- Everyone has strong opinions on the marijuana law...
Proposition 20- NO- Changes to redistricting procedures tend to end bad. This will relinquish democratic control from voters to unelected representatives.
Proposition 21- NO- No new taxes to save the guppy fish... environmentalist nonsense.
Proposition 22- YES- Liberal California Progress report opposes it because it would "protect local government redevelopment agencies—at the expense of other state priorities like health care."
Proposition 23- YES- At the very least suspend phony global warming laws that hurt our economy.
Proposition 24- NO- Liberal California Propgress report opposes this because it "maintains corporate taxes at the same level it has been, rather than allowing special interest tax break of over a billion-and-a-half dollars go into effect." It would prevent lower taxes for small business.
Proposition 25- NO- This makes the Democrat agenda much much easier in Congress by lowering the majority to pass anything.
Proposition 26- YES- Makes it harder to add extra fees and taxes on citizens and businesses.
Proposition 27- NO- The Democrats, George Soros, teachers unions, etc. all support this. Again, voters need to have some control of redistricting but they also need to be checked by a commission.

This political cartoon was actually printed in the Chicago Tribune in 1934, as then-President Roosevelt began to create the great depression by massive deficit spending, government seizure of private industry and confiscatory taxation. Sound familiar? That is exactly what the Obama administration and congressional Democrats are doing to America today.
Remember the old adage: "Those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it." Conservatives can prevent a further "Great Depression" simply by showing up to the polls and taking these tax-and-spend-and-destroy career politicians out of Washington and our state houses. If you come, we will win. If you stay home, we all lose.
