Google Cheats on Taxes, Avoids Paying $3.1 Billion

Thursday, October 21, 2010

It has come to light that famously liberal Google has been acting very unpatriotic lately. In order to avoid paying $3.1 billion in taxes, they have employed a sneaky accounting trick that involves funneling its profits through Ireland and the Netherlands and then Bermuda to lower their tax rate to only 2.4%, a trick shady accountants refer to as the ol' "Double Irish" and the "Dutch Sandwich".

Do no evil? Et tu, Google?

Not only is this money not going to the federal government (for which liberals should be scandalized) but it is not going into our economy and making jobs (which intelligent people should be upset by).
