Oakland Mayer Fires Theatre Board Member For Supporting Marriage

Thursday, January 21, 2010

Mormon temple president Lorenzo Hoopes will not continue on the board that oversees Oakland’s historic Paramount Theatre because he contributed to Proposition 8. Hoopes has sat on the board for more than 30 years. The liberal city council and mayor have vowed to purge the city of all gay marriage opponents.

Democrat Mayor Ron Dellums's spokesman defended the blacklisting, saying, "The community is asking us to reconsider, and that is what we are going to do."

Apparently if LGBT's are discriminated against it's not okay, but it's perfectly fine for them to discriminate and destroy other people's lives.
