CA Speaker Karen Bass: Fiscal Conservatives are Terrorists

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

I still can't believe that these words came out of California Assembly Speaker (Dem) Karen Bass' mouth. It sounds like she has no concept for the democratic process at all. It sounds like something coming out of Iran! She thinks that the public has no right to meddle in the affairs of raising taxes and passing legislation, and that any who try to hold their representatives responsible for their actions are terrorists! WHO IS THIS LADY?!!!

LA Times- "The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against
voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: "You vote for revenue and your career is over." I don't know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it's about free speech, but it's extremely unfair."

What Obama-Care will do to American Health Care

Monday, June 29, 2009

Our health care system is a complicated machine that causes a chain of reactions when something is changed. With the immeasurably high price tag of national health care, what are the consequences? Britain and Canada show this is just part of what would happen:

EPA Suppresses Study Disproving Global Warming

Saturday, June 27, 2009

CEI leaked this study by the National Center for Environmental Economics. Internal emails in the EPA reveal that the report was "silenced because of pressure to support the Administration’s agenda of regulating carbon dioxide."

The report says that the EPA relied on outdated research with the United Nations’ 2007 “Fourth Assessment” report. The report finds that the EPA ignores new developments: decline in global temperatures, a new consensus that future hurricanes will not be more frequent or intense, and new findings that water vapor will moderate, rather than exacerbate, temperature.

The Obama-Evita Connection: A Study in Popular Totalitarianism

Friday, June 26, 2009

The other day, as we were listening to the soundtrack of Evita, my wife pointed out the amazing similarities between the rhetoric of the Mussolini-admiring Jaun and Eva Perón and Obama. With the corruption, intimidation and messianic imagery associated with Obama, the following lyrics from the musical/movie Evita are chilling. (Insert "Obama" and any of his promises in the appropriate places):

And the money kept rolling in from every side
Eva's pretty hands reached out and they reached wide
Now you may feel it should have been a voluntary cause
But that's not the point my friends
When the money keeps rolling in, you don't ask how
Think of all the people guaranteed a good time now
Eva's called the hungry to her, open up the doors
Never been a fund like the Foundation Eva Peron

[Workers:]
Rollin' rollin' rollin', rollin' rollin' rollin'
Rollin' rollin' rollin', rollin' rollin' rollin'
Rollin' rollin' rollin', rollin' rollin' rollin'
Rollin' rollin' rollin', rollin' rollin' rollin'

Rollin' on in, rollin' on in
Rollin' on in, rollin' on in
On in

Would you like to try a college education?
Own your landlord's house, take the family on vacation?
Eva and her blessed fund can make your dreams come true
Here's all you have to do my friends
Write your name and your dream on a card or a pad or a ticket
Throw it high in the air and should our lady pick it
She will change your way of life for a week or even two
Name me anyone who cares as much as Eva Peron

[chorus]
Rollin' on out, rollin' on out
Rollin' on out, rollin' on out
On out

And the money kept rolling out in all directions
To the poor, to the weak, to the destitute of all complexions
Now cynics claim a little of the cash has gone astray
But that's not the point my friends
When the money keeps rolling out you don't keep books
You can tell you've done well by the happy grateful looks
Accountants only slow things down, figures get in the way
Never been a lady loved as much as Eva Peron

[chorus]
Rollin' on out, rollin' on out
Rollin' on out, rollin' on out
On out
And then this one, called "A New Argentina":
[Workers:]
A new Argentina, the chains of the masses untied
A new Argentina, the voice of the people
Cannot be denied

[Eva:]
There is only one man who can lead any workers' regime
He lives for your problems, he shares your ideals and your dream
He supports you, for he loves you
Understands you, is one of you
If not, how could he love me?

[Workers:]
A new Argentina, the workers' battle song
A new Argentina, the voice of the people
Rings out loud and long

[Eva:]
Now I am a worker, I've suffered the way that you do
I've been unemployed, and I've starved and I've hated it too
But I found my salvation in Peron, may the nation
Let him save them as he saved me

[All:]
A new Argentina, a new age about to begin
A new Argentina, we face the world together
And no dissent within

[Che:]
How annoying that they have to fight elections for their cause
The inconvenience, having to get a majority
If normal methods of persuasion fail to win them applause
There are other ways of establishing authority

[All:]
A new Argentina, the chains of the masses untied
A new Argentina, the voice of the people
Cannot be, and will not be, and must not be denied.

What Middle Easterners Do For Fun: Arab Drift

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

With all these horrendous videos coming out of Iran, here's a lighter look at how life is cheap in the Middle East. These were all performed on public freeways and people did get hurt:

More on Polyamory, Apes, and the Evolution of Marriage

On the comments section of a previous post, FreeXenon has been vigorously arguing that multiple sex-partners is a normal part of human nature and should be recognized as such. He condemns the "traditional marriage" of one man and one woman as little more than slavery and suggests that we should take after apes and raise our children in multiple-parent groups. My responses will be in-line with my summary of his comments (they are much too long to include here):

1. You people who believe in only monogamous marriage are crazy. You are just trying to scare people with your talk of society and morality.

False, ad hominem attack. We are the sane, respectable people (and the majority, I might add) out there. We are parents, teachers, clergy members, doctors, business owners and decent church-going folk. The majority of Prop 8 donations came in small amounts from individuals. (By contrast, the majority of anti-Prop 8 donations came from big business, government and private activist associations.)

2. You guys think it is better to cheat on one spouse than to have multiple sexual partners.

Nope. We think they are both terrible. But I suppose from the child’s standpoint, the father leaving the mother for another woman still preserves the structure of the traditional family while if the child is raised by many “fathers” and “mothers” they will lack the parental intimacy necessary in child raising. Infidelity in any romantic relationship is devastating and crushing to all those involved.

3. Nature never necessitated one man and woman to be in a monogamous relationship to raise a child. Rather, many animals have multiple sexual partners and children are often raised in "untraditional" family groups. They work well there and also so in human society. Humans were never meant to be monogamous and society is "going against nature" with traditional marriage.

If nature had never intended that a child be raised by one man and one woman, why does it require just that formula to conceive one? Why would humans invent the idea of mothers and fathers if it was not necessary? Why are children in our society that lack a present father so often maladjusted? What proof do you have that humans just “made up” our very deep-seeded, primeval concept of the married unit?

The only “proof” you offer is that some animals have multiple sexual partners too and raise children in groups. And this proves that those characteristics are “evolutionarily” superior? Which race has been more successful? Silverback Gorillas or humans? “Civilization” including stable homes and families has catapulted the human race to be much more successful than any other race on earth. And you want us to go back to acting like apes?

4. Biblical, Chinese and Muslim marriages are "property exchange" deals. This is the history of marriage.

No, the history of marriage begins with one man and one woman coming together to conceive and raise a child. Nature provided them with romantic feelings that encourage this bond. This ideal has been corrupted from all sides, with authoritarian chauvinists on the one side and homosexuality/polyamory on the other. Both sides try to hijack marriage for their own selfish purposes—authoritarians for control, sexual deviants for social recognition. But both sides are destructive to the original intent of marriage and threaten to undo all the benefit it has given our society. Marriage is the basis of society, which has propelled our race to the greatest the earth has ever seen. Again, you want to return us to the state of animals.

5. There are laws in place to prevent child/incest/bestiality/inanimate object marriage because (duh) they are illogical. And other than incest, the other party is not able to "consent" to the marriage. Therefore they are invalid.

And there were laws to prevent “gay marriage” because (duh), if marriage is between a man and woman, it doesn’t make sense to marry a man and a man. If you allow the definition to be changed, where does it stop? How can you justify one change “because some people want it” and not others? What if the entire city of San Diego “consents” to be married to each other so that single individuals can now enjoy tax and social benefits. With your reasoning, how can you justify saying no?

6. You crazy conservatives/Christians have the belief that you only have so much love to give so it should all be given to your spouse. You do this to control people. (But wait . . . you also teach to love your kids, parents, friends, your neighbor - meaning everybody--) Alright, well you teach you can only love one person romantically/intimately. Well, that' stupid. You can sexually love as many people as you have time for.

I love it when agnostics/athiests tell us Christians what we believe. (I don't believe I mentioned Christianity or religion at all in my post or comments, by the way.) You caught on the point as you were trying to explain it away: There are at least two kinds of love (for example, the way you love your mom and the way you love your spouse). You can love many people as friends. You can love many people as family. But you can only love one person in a married sense. (People who have tried otherwise end up losing the trust and relationship with those involved.) You can have multiple sexual partners, but then you will never experience the intimate relationship of a monogamous couple. If you believe that a close monogamous relationship can be duplicated with multiple partners, than it is obvious you have no idea what marriage is about.

CA Politicians up to Monkey Business With Tax Money

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

While our government leaders are threatening to lay off teachers and firemen to balance the budget, they managed to spend $7.4 million on a monkey exhibit at the LA zoo that never actually happened. Yes, our brilliant government spent all of that money earned by hardworking American citizens building a China-themed primate enclosure complete with Canary Island palm trees, artificial trees with extra springy limbs, and a viewing structure with Chinese-style tilework. They even hired a feng shui expert for $4,500 that tweaked the final design with a water fountain and other features meant to promote the monkeys' health and happiness. The problem is China decided they don't want to loan LA their monkeys. Whoops.

Protester in Tehran Censures Obama for Not Helping Iranians

Monday, June 22, 2009

As Iranians demanding democracy have been beaten, arrested and killed by their brutal totalitarian government, one international head of state has remained conspicuously absent from showing and providing his support: That's right, the "leader of the free world" Barack Obama. Not wanting to hurt his chances at making friends with Ahmadinajab, Obama has tried to remain aloof in the matter. Unfortunately for him, Obama is finding out that being president means more than lavish state visits that awe everyone into suddenly getting along. Obama is showing his true colors as a spineless, incompetent celebrity that couldn't get a third-grade class to get along and play nice.

Iranian Protester Implores Obama to Do Something

An Iranian student protester in Tehran made a passionate plea for help from the world community this morning in a phone call to CNN’s “American Morning.”

For safety reasons, CNN can only identify the student by his first name, Mohammad. He’s been a part of the protests and a target of the violence there. Below is an edited transcript of the interview.

Roberts: Interesting perspective this morning from Mohammad, a student demonstrator there in Tehran.

Mohammad: Excuse me, sir. I have a message for the international community. Would you please let me tell it?

Roberts: Yes, go ahead.

Mohammad: Americans, European Union, international community, this government is not definitely — is definitely not elected by the majority of Iranians. So it’s illegal. Do not recognize it. Stop trading with them. Impose much more sanctions against them. My message…to the international community, especially I’m addressing President Obama directly – how can a government that doesn’t recognize its people’s rights and represses them brutally and mercilessly have nuclear activities? This government is a huge threat to global peace. Will a wise man give a sharp dagger to an insane person? We need your help international community. Don’t leave us alone.

Chetry: Mohammad, what do you think the international community should do besides sanctions?

Mohammad: Actually, this regime is really dependent on importing gasoline. More than 85% of Iran’s gasoline is imported from foreign countries. I think international communities must sanction exporting gasoline to Iran and that might shut down the government.

Obama Gets a *FAIL* on Foreign Policy

Obama has done so badly in handling the situations with North Korea and Iran, we don't only think he is terrible at foreign relations, we're wondering whose side he's on. Either he is being schooled and shown to be an idiot, or her is complicit in the crimes and atrocities committed by these brutal, totalitarian governments.

The Axis of Evil Gives Obama a Lesson in Rogue Diplomacy

Barack Obama severely criticized President Bush's policies for dealing with despots. He advocated a policy of engagement. How is that working out? North Korea is rattling it's nuclear arsenal and firing long missiles as fast as they can mount them on the launch pad. Iran is brutally suppressing a democratic uprising and trying to blame us for causing it. President Obama gets a 'fail' when it comes to dealing with Iran and North Korea. From the Wall Street Journal:
President Obama took office loudly promising to be the anti-George W. Bush of foreign policy, vowing to "extend a hand" to adversaries "willing to unclench" their fists. What he has received instead is an education in the reality of global rogues, and how he responds has become a major test of his Presidency.

The immediate challenges are North Korea and Iran, governments that the American left claimed were "evil" only because Mr. Bush had declared them so. Perhaps Mr. Obama believed this too, though five months later he has learned otherwise. North Korea has rejected his every overture and is now defying the U.N. to press its nuclear and proliferation ambitions. As for Iran, the mullahs are attempting to crush a popular uprising after a stolen election while also showing disdain for Mr. Obama's diplomatic entreaties.

The question is whether Mr. Obama will now adapt his policies to meet challenges he clearly didn't expect. Jimmy Carter took office with similar illusions about the Soviet Union, promising to cure our "inordinate fear of Communism." Our enemies pushed back at what they perceived to be U.S. weakness, and Mr. Carter and his NSC adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski never recovered. We'll soon learn if Mr. Obama is made of sterner stuff.

Obama To Celebrate July 4 With Iranian Diplomats

Absolutely incredible. Our president celebrates America's revolution against tyranny by drinking wine the Hitler of our times, celebrating the atrocities he's doing daily.

U.S. has no plan to rescind invitations to Iranian diplomatic for National Day celebrations

Obama also is cutting funding for pro-Democracy efforts in Iran.

"Cap and Trade" Energy Tax to be Passed this Week!

Go here to figure out how much more you'll be paying for energy should this bill pass.

Cap and Kill: The Sneak-A-Vote Is Coming

The democrats are planning a House vote on the Cap and Trade legislation (aka Cap and Kill) this week. In an article published late last week by politico.com, key lawmakers, aides, and lobbyists disclosed that "the Obama administration will make an intense push to pass climate and energy legislation next week".

As you may recall, the "cap-and-trade" legislation (HR2454) that is being pushed through congress by Chairman Henry Waxman (CA- D) is just another tax on the American people. Even President Obama has admitted that it is going to be an additional cost on every household and business in this country. It will cost the average American family anywhere from $700 to $3,000 a year depending on whose analysis you believe. I believe the $3000 estimate determined by a study conducted by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Even if you have already responded previously, please contact your members of Congress as soon as possible, and ask them to: "Please VOTE NO to the Waxman Cap and Trade bill (HR2454)".

Please respond immediately! Congress has this bill on a fast track.

My Dad

Sunday, June 21, 2009

I am grateful for Father's Day as a time to remember and honor our dads. This seems especially important as our society continues to demote fatherhood, even letting it become expendable. Too often the government is filling the role of provider in the lives of single, unmarried mothers. The fact is, nobody can replace a good father. No teacher, coach, therapist or even mother can replace the role that a father must play in the development of a child. I am grateful that I have such a wonderful father. My dad has always been a calm yet powerful stabilizing factor in my life. He is a hard working, kind, intelligent and good-hearted man. Most importantly, it is obvious that his family has always been his priority. He is supportive and excited about his childrens' endeavors. He is clearly most happy when the family is all together again for holidays, birthdays, etc. He has shown my brothers how a man should treat his wife. I love my dad and find it no surprise that I ended up marrying someone much like him.

Polygamy Next Civil Rights Battle, ABC Says

Thursday, June 18, 2009

If you follow the logic of same sex marriage advocates, polygamy (they call it "polyamory") is the next step to their hostile takeover of true marriage. After all, consenting adults should have the right to call anything they want marriage, right? I'm sure the American Psychological Association already has studies out saying four mothers are better than one for children...

Polyamory: When One Spouse Isn't Enough
Some See Polyamorous Marriage as the Next Civil Rights Movement

By SUSAN DONALDSON JAMES
June 18, 2009

[...]

As polyamorists, the couple belongs to a small group that believes people have the right to form their own complex relationships with multiple partners. The most vocal want the right to marry -- as a cluster.

"We have rights to love any way we want unless we are harming other people," said Love. "Like the air we breathe, we have a right to be and do and say whatever is our full expression, and this to me is a civil right."

The polyamory movement grew out of the communes of the 1960s and the swingers of the 1970s, but today, with gay marriage legal in six states, some, such as Love, say their cause should be next.

This nascent and as yet small effort to legalize group marriage is likely to enrage conservative religious groups that upheld Proposition 8, California's ban on gay marriage. In hard-hitting ads, those groups charged that allowing gay marriage would open the door to all kinds of nontraditional relationships, including polygamists.

The Cyber War: Iran vs. Hacktivists Around the World

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

"Tehran's streets may be bloody, says Douglas Rushkoff, but the opposition [Mousavi's supporters] has won the digital war. The battleground: Facebook and Twitter. The weapons: bandwidth and hacking. The prize: the end of totalitarianism." [...]

"What started out as an attempt to overload a small set of official sites has now expanded, network security consultant Dancho Danchev notes. News outlets like Raja News are being attacked, too. The semi-official Fars News site is currently unavailable.

“'We turned our collective power and outrage into a serious weapon that we could use at our will, without ever having to feel the consequences. We practiced distributed, citizen-based warfare,' writes Matthew Burton, a former U.S. intelligence analyst who joined in the online assaults, thanks to a 'push-button tool that would, upon your click, immediately start bombarding 10 Web sites with requests.'"

Another Open Letter to Obama from X-Democrat

What can you do to speak up against the now accelerating growth of big government? It can be as simple as writing a letter, like Janet from Arizona did. She wrote this letter Glenn Beck ended up reading on the air -- and will read on TV tonight -- that expressed her frustration (as a long time Democrat now turned 'I don't know what I am') with what the dopes in Washington are doing. Check out the conversation she had with Glenn Beck on radio today about why she wrote the letter. ( Transcript)
BE HEARD: Check out this online petition that was created based on this letter sent to Glenn -- sign it!

I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why ‑‑ what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band‑Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try ‑‑ please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.

Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when he will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

European Union Condemns Iranian Voter Fraud and Violence, Obama Still Only "Deeply Concerned"

Today the European Union joined with Canada, Germany, France and others in condemning the Iranian government's blatant voter fraud and violence against their people. In the UnitedStates, however, despite Obama being "deeply concerned" but thinking it "unwise to meddle," the Iranian government has accused him of "intolerable meddling." Meanwhile, the protesting Iranians have grown to millions.

UPDATED: What's Going on in Iran?

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

UPDATE: from one reporter on the ground defies the government's no-press restriction to report on the million-man pro-Mousavi demonstrations, the apparent sympathy coming from Iranian military and even police officials, the school officials denouncement of the University raids and murders, and what all of this must mean.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QZ-Gb1Q8Ao

Between the media spin and the zealous "tweeples", it is very difficult to figure out what is really going on in Iran. Ahmadinejad is bad news, there's no question about that, but is Mousavi really that much better? And was the election really rigged or are some people just upset with the outcome? And what's the big deal anyways when Iran is really run by this "supreme dictator" guy that no one gets to elect anyways?

Though I think the election was rigged and Mousavi probably is better than the Holocaust-denying Ahmadinejad, the issue here is not so much about the canadates. It is about that fact that Iranians have been living in a fascist theocracy and now they want their freedom. They want their inalienable rights, just like most of the rest of the civilized world has. As the stronghold of freedom in this world it seem that the United States ought to be arm-in-arm with the various countries throughout the world who have expressed solidarity with the revolutionary Iranians.

The toppling of the current oppressive Iranian regime would not only greatly improve the quality of life for Iranians, but may resolve some of the issues it has caused for the world: ie. threat of nuclear arms, funding terrorists in Iraq, etc. We don't want to do the job for them, that hasn't worked as well in Iraq and revolutions don't work that way, but I cannot stand the though of US standing idly by while revolutionaries for democracy are slaughtered by an oppressive government in another Tiananmen square.

ABC to Turn Over Their Show to Obama for Obamacare Infomercial

Like something out of Totalitarian China, ABC is becoming the official state media outlet for their nightly programming on June 25th, turning the programming over to Obama and White House officials for what amounts to an another Obamamercial for his government-run healthcare package. When the RNC protested and asked that an opposing viewpoint be offered on the White House show, ABC declined.

[...] Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform “town hall” at the White House with President Barack Obama. In addition, according to an ABC News report, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, WORLD NEWS, NIGHTLINE and ABC’s web news “will all feature special programming on the president’s health care agenda.” This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president’s health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming.

Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party's views to those of the President's to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected. I believe that the President should have the ability to speak directly to the America people. However, I find it outrageous that ABC would prohibit our Party's opposing thoughts and ideas from this national debate, which affects millions of ABC viewers.

In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this primetime infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime. The President has stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the Republican Party should be included in this primetime event, or the DNC should pay for your airtime.

ABC news instead responded with an affirmation of the bias this broadcast will maintain:
"ABCNEWS alone will select those who will be in the audience asking questions of the president. Like any programs we broadcast, ABC News will have complete editorial control. To suggest otherwise is quite unfair to both our journalists and our audience."

Weather Channel Founder, 30,000 Scientists Suing Gore for Global Warming Fraud

Monday, June 15, 2009

John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel will be joining 30,000 scientists to sue Al Gore to debunk global warming fraud. He said global warming supporters are not open to scientific, objective discussion but have been silencing their oposition to cover their faulty science. Coleman hopes that the lawsuit will bring the truth of the matter to the public eye and force media and government outlets to give a more balanced report on the claims.

This, coming at at a low in Gore's global warming campaign, when the lowest temperatures ever are being recorded around the world:

It is "an inconvenient truth" for Al Gore that the world is currently experiencing some of the coldest weather in decades. Just how cold? How about snow in Saudi Arabia in May according to this report?

According to a story in the Saudi Gazette and sourced to the American News Agency, the Associated Press, snow fell in Al-Baha city, to the south-west of Riyadh, on Tuesday.

Torrential rain poured down on Al-Baha accompanied by gusty winds.

The nearby mountains received some snow too.

It covered the valley areas and the forests of Al-Zaraeb and Khayrah, according to the report.

If this were the only such report, it could be written off as just an isolated incident of freak weather. Unfortunately for Al Gore's credibility there have been widespread reports of unseasonably cold weather from many sources including a story yesterday in the Minneapolis Star Tribune about a "year without summer."

ALERT: Iran in a Revolutionary Uproar Following Blatant Government Election Fraud

Sunday, June 14, 2009

The shamelessly obvious voter fraud on the part of the government of Iran giving Ahmadinejad the lead over popular opponent Mousavi has been causing a massive popular uprising such as has not been seen since the revolution of 1978 deposing the Shah. The normally beaten-into-submission Iranians are spontaneously taking to the street and demanding their rights to self-government.

Another Letter to Obama from a Concerned American

    April 27, 2009

    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
    Washington , DC 20500

    Mr. Obama:

I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.

You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America. You are responsible to the citizens of the United States.

You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth. I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about?

Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century? Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?

Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia. You don't show Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia. How dare you, sir! How dare you!

You can't find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don't want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey. You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. What's the matter with you?

I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you. You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members -- on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer.

You haven't said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn't! Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million -- not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you. I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

    Sincerely,

    Every Real American

Obama Giving Ambassador Posts to Top Campaign Contributors

    Saturday, June 13, 2009

    From today's Sacramento Bee:

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama got elected by promising change, but he's following one time-honored tradition by doling out ambassadorships to friends and big-money party donors.

So far, Obama's contributors and friends have been awarded with plum posts in Canada, France, England, Japan, South Africa, Ireland, the Bahamas, Denmark, Argentina and the Vatican.

Sacramento developer Eleni Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis, one of the top Democratic fundraisers in California, could soon join the list. After raising millions for the party's candidates and causes, she is being considered by the White House for an ambassadorship, according to Capitol Hill sources. Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis did not return telephone calls seeking comment.

The Obama administration insists that all of its appointees are qualified, but critics say the jobs should go to career diplomats instead of party loyalists.

"It is the last vestige of the spoils system," said Ronald Neumann, president of the American Academy of Diplomacy.

"We made it illegal to do this for our civil service on the basis that merit was important. We don't do it for our military. And it is a little perplexing why we think that we should we able to sell ambassadorships."

According to an analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks money in politics, Obama has rewarded some of his largest fundraisers and donors with posts abroad.

    Some examples:

    • His ambassador to the United Kingdom, Louis Susman, is a lawyer and investment banker who bundled at least $100,000 for Obama's presidential campaign and at least $300,000 for his inauguration.

    • His ambassador to Ireland, Daniel Rooney, is the chairman of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team and, with his wife, has contributed at least $152,400 to federal candidates, committees and parties since the 1990 election cycle.

    • Charles Rivkin, nominated to be the ambassador to France, is the head of an entertainment company who bundled at least a half million dollars for Obama's campaign and another $300,000 toward his inaugural committee.

    • And John Roos, nominated to be the ambassador to Japan, is a lawyer who bundled at least $500,000 to Obama's presidential campaign and, with his wife, has contributed at least $77,500 to Democrats since the 1992 election cycle, including $6,900 to Obama.

Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis has similar fundraising credentials. She's the president of AKT Development and AKT Investments Corp. and a big name in California Democratic politics.

She and her father, Angelo K. Tsakopoulos, helped bankroll the failed 2006 gubernatorial campaign of Democrat Phil Angelides, and she raised money for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign as the head of Greek-Americans for Clinton. Her husband, Markos Kounalakis, is the publisher of Washington Monthly.

The White House policy is not to comment on its appointees until they're formally announced. Officials with two of California's congressional offices confirmed she was under consideration.

Obama's appointments would appear to contradict statements he made as a presidential candidate. Promising the most sweeping ethics changes in history, he said that he would impose a "litmus test" in his administration, where employees are hired based on their qualifications and experience, not on their party or ideology.
Calling President George W. Bush's White House "the most politicized" in history, Obama decried the appointment of Bush's friend Michael Brown to head the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Brown, or "Brownie" as Bush called him, had served as a commissioner with the International Arabian Horse Association but had no experience in emergency management.

He led the federal government's controversial response to Hurricane Katrina.
"The days of Michael Brown, Arabian horse judge, are over," Obama said in a speech two years ago.

John Naland, president of the American Foreign Service Association, said the federal government's response to Hurricane Katrina showed the need to have a competent manager in charge of its embassies. He said it makes no sense to have envoys who lack experience and have never dealt with special operations, anti-drug campaigns or military issues.

"If this policy continues of sending out people who are basically just fundraisers, someday something bad is bound to happen," Naland said.

He said the system of appointing political ambassadors is unique to the United States, and that it has become more of a concern since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001: "The rest of the world doesn't do this. Our friends don't do it, our enemies don't do it. In the United States, 150 years ago, every job was political patronage: the post office, military commanders in the Civil War and everything. But our country over the years has backed away from that."

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters that the president essentially acknowledged after his election that some of his foreign service picks would be political appointees.

Gibbs said the administration's ambassadorial appointments include "a group of committed individuals and proven professionals that are eager to serve their country."

"Some of those individuals were fundraisers; some of those were career ambassadors," Gibbs said at a news briefing late last month. He joked that the U.K. ambassador was qualified because "he speaks English."

Obama shocked some last month when he appointed Utah Republican Gov. Jon Huntsman – far from a Democratic crony – as ambassador to China. Huntsman's qualifications appear numerous. He's a former ambassador to Singapore, speaks Mandarin, worked as deputy trade representative in Asia and served a Mormon mission in Taiwan.

Since the early 1960s, roughly a third of all ambassadors have been non-professionals, according to the American Academy of Diplomacy. In a letter to Obama, the group asked that the number be reduced to 10 percent.

Neumann said it's disappointing but not surprising that Obama is seeking to reward heavy-hitting fundraisers early in his administration.

"It's a little early to say whether the administration will or won't be different from others in its overall appointments and totals, but certainly it's not change yet," he said.

He said the job of an ambassador is becoming more complicated and requires experience. And he said it's an insult to the host country when an ambassador lacks knowledge about the country's history, language and culture.

"Why do you think that diplomacy is so much simpler than, say, being a journalist?" he asked. "Why do you assume it takes no knowledge of the profession in order to handle your foreign relations at a time when you're dealing with crises, terrorism, epidemics and a generally difficult world?"

Obama's appointments have raised eyebrows around the globe.

"No 'change you can believe in' for Obama," blared a French headline on a story of the president's ambassadorial appointees.

And a story in the Japan Times lamented the appointment of "a virtually unknown lawyer" as the ambassador to Japan.

The newspaper called it a "ronkokosho," a reward given for support in a presidential campaign.

Obama Fires Inspector General For Investigating Corrupt Obama Contributers

    Friday, June 12, 2009

Inspector General Gerald Walpin has been fired by President Obama after Walpin uncovered a mess of squandered funds by favored Obama contributors, educational institutions, and left-wing groups.

Walpin discovered that Sacramento Mayor, and Obama's long time friend and contributer, Kevin Johnson misused AmeriCorps grants from the government. Johnson, Obama's basketball buddy, used the federal grants "to pay volunteers to engage in school-board political activities, run personal errands for Johnson and even wash his car."

Republicans recently helped expand Americorps, the taxpayer-subsidized “community service” waste, by $6 billion dollars we don't have.

Walpin also discovered massive fraud in New York:

(Youth Today)- "…Funding for the largest AmeriCorps program - the Teaching Fellows Program, run by the Research Foundation of the City University of New York - is in abeyance pending resolution of widespread problems identified in a recent audit. Although Walpin recommended that funding be curtailed and that previous funds (perhaps as much as $75 million) be repaid to the corporation, the corporation has said it will take no action on that matter.

Walpin concluded that nothing was being gained by the grants to CUNY and that the money was simply being used to subsidize an existing and funded program."

Walpin's report finds waste, duplication, ineffective spending, criminal background check lapses, and repeated violations of the grant rules. An earlier report found that Obama's favored liberal group, La Raza, a racial supremest group, failed to complete background checks and institute secure financial controls.

Who is in control of all this Americorp waste? None other than Michelle Obama:
"Some decisions about CNCS are being made by First Lady Michelle Obama, according to service advocates (who asked not to be named). Last week, Mrs. Obama announced that her chief of staff, Jackie Norris, would move to CNCS as a senior adviser. Officials said yesterday that Norris is scheduled to arrive on June 22."

Obama Tells Terrorists "You Have the Right to Remain Silent"

    Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Hmmm . . . Bush was interested in getting the information out of the terrorists we have captured to prevent attacks and save American lives. Obama is interested in their Constitutional Rights?!! Hello! We are never going to get the information we need to stop emminant terrorist attacks if we tell them to remain silent! The constitution doesn't apply to non-citizens . . . especially those trying to kill Americans. I think that once we've gotten the information we need, those people should be shot on the spot. (That's what our founding fathers did with pirates, their form of terrorists.)

The Obama Administration has ordered the FBI and CIA to inform terrorists overseas that they "have the right to remain silent" before probing them for information to save American lives.

According to Weekly Standard report by Stephen F. Hayes, a senior Republican on the House Intelligence Committee has revealed that "the Obama Justice Department has quietly ordered FBI agents to read Miranda rights to high value detainees captured and held at U.S. detention facilities in Afghanistan."

Miss California Dethroned For Supporting Traditional Marriage

Hollywood is offically 100% anti-Christian and anti-traditional values

Donal Trump's organization says it happened because of "Prejean’s unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization." Trump said she failed to show up to 30 events.

TMZ recently published private emails allegedly from Prejean which revealed she was being hassled: "You do not cooperate with me, and you pick and chose the the things YOU want me to do. That is not happening anymore. Stop speaking for me. I have MY own voice."

The first person who can actually name an event Prejean ditched that she was contractually obligated to show up to... you get a gold star!

As for Donald, the fundamentalist gays will love him now more than ever.

Obama's $200 Million Payoff To Get Rid Of Gitmo Detainees

Obama is happy to let taxpayers pay $12 million per Uighur detainee. Palau agreed to take the detainees for this price.

The Uighur Muslims, as you know, have their basic human rights taken away by communist China. Interestingly, the Uighurs have reacted to Obama's act of compassion by calling him a communist.

The Letter the New York Times Wouldn't Print

    Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Lou Pritchet is a former vice president of Procter & Gamble whose career at that company spanned 36 years before his retirement in 1989, and he is the author of the 1995 business book, Stop Paddling & Start Rocking the Boat. He sent this letter to the NY Times but they never acknowledged or published it.

    Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Study: Homosexuals' Children 7 Times More Likely To Become Homosexual

It may sound like common sense (I should say "good sense"), but liberal organizations like the American Psychological Association continue to preach false gay propaganda.

"(Dr. Trayce Hansen) Research by social scientists, although not definitive, suggests that children reared by openly homosexual parents are far more likely to engage in homosexual behavior than children raised by others. Studies thus far find between 8% and 21% of homosexually parented children ultimately identify as non-heterosexual. For comparison purposes, approximately 2% of the general population are non-heterosexual. Therefore, if these percentages continue to hold true, children of homosexuals have a 4 to 10 times greater likelihood of developing a non-heterosexual preference than other children...

Some researchers who uncovered sexual preference differences between homosexually and heterosexually parented children, nonetheless declared in their research summaries that no differences were found. Many believe they concealed their findings so as not to harm their own pro-homosexual, sociopolitical agendas...

Findings from the best and most recent twin studies have found that homosexuality, unlike eye color, is not genetically-caused. But there are a number of non-genetic mechanisms through which homosexuality could be transmitted from one generation to the next. Those mechanisms include role-modeling, social learning and differential reinforcement, as well as outright encouragement of non-heterosexuality by parents or others. "

For this report, Hansen reviewed Golombok and Tasker's studies in 1996, who found that "the large majority of children who grew up in lesbian families identified as heterosexual." The study was biased against heterosexuals because "the adult child had to currently identify as non-heterosexual and commit to a future identity as a non-heterosexual – a very unusual method for coding non-heterosexuality."

Nevertheless, the study found that "16 percent of those reared by lesbians had homosexual or bisexual levels of same-sex attraction, while 0 percent of the children of heterosexuals did. That's 16 percent compared to 0 percent. Additionally, 67 percent of the children from lesbian family backgrounds said that they had 'previously considered, or thought it a future possibility, that they might experience same-gender attraction or have a same-gender sexual relationship or both' compared to 14 percent of children from heterosexual families."

So? How Does It Hurt YOUR Marriage?

Beetleblogger has articulately answered the same-sex marriage activist's strongest argument -- "Allowing gay marriages won't hurt your marriage so why should you care?" -- and exposed the inherent logical fallacy in this argument. The truth is it does hurt not only my marriage, but my children and society as a whole.

So? How Does It Hurt YOUR Marriage?

I read all the time people in discussions saying things like “How is extending marriage to include same sex coupling going to hurt your marriage?”

There are several answers but let’s just look at the harm to the institution of marriage itself. I’ve been reading “The Future of Marriage” by David Blankenhorn which is pretty insightful in places. In particular the following quote caught my eye:

“What purports to be a definition – marriage is not connected to children – is in fact a redefinition that ends up negating the very thing being defined.”

He goes on to explain himself by showing that the Justices in the Massachusetts supreme court argued that separating civil unions and marriage for same sex couples causes them to be “excluded from the full range of human experience.” [Opinion of the Justices, No. SJC-08860, Goodridge v. Department of Public Health p. 7]

Paradoxically in a 2004 follow-up the justices note that one “rational and permissible” method for resolving the controversy surrounding same sex marriage would be to “jettison the term ‘marriage’ altogether.” [Opinions of the Justices to the Senate, No. SJC-09163, Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, p.9]

Let’s outline this for those still unclear:

    1. Without marriage people are “excluded from the full range of human experience.”

    2. One way to make everyone equal under the law is to “jettison the term ‘marriage’ altogether.”

Either marriage is essential or unnecessary. It can’t be both. You can’t say it’s so integral that it must be redefined to such a meaninglessly slim definition that you can get rid of it altogether. It’s circular reasoning. What is lost is the essential nature of marriage, the thing that makes it invaluable to society.

Procreation, children and families cannot be separated from marriage without rendering the whole useless.

I’m reminded forcefully of Solomon in the Bible who was presented with two mothers who both claimed parenthood of a baby. His suggestion was to “Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.” The mother who’s baby had died and was lying exclaimed, “Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.” [1 Kings 3:25,26]

How does extending marriage hurt my marriage? Marriage is ABOUT children and family. Without family, it means nothing and a “rational and permissible” methods of achieving equality under the law is to “jettison the term ‘marriage’ altogether.” “[I]t is through children alone that sexual relations become of importance to society, and worthy to be taken cognizance of by a legal institution.” [Betrand Russell in "The incongruous Spy p. 77 by John le Carre]

Taking the essence of marriage out of marriage DESTROYS marriage, that’s how it hurts my marriage.

It’s historical fact – justices in the Massachusetts already said it.

Obama Claims Islam Invented Stuff They Didn't Invent

    Sunday, June 7, 2009

First let me say, Islam has indeed done so much for humanity- in science, mathematics, architecture, and so forth. Until the seventh century, that is, when fundamentalists really started taking it over.

Barrack Hussein had this to say:

"As a student of history, I also know civilization debt to Islam. It was Islam – at places like Al-Azhar University – that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality."

Here's the facts behind these untruths:
    • Compass:
"The use of a magnetic compass as a direction finder occurred sometime before 1044, but incontestable evidence for the use of the compass as a navigational device did not appear until 1119 in China. The earliest reference to an iron fish-like compass in the Islamic world occurs in a Persian talebook from 1232" wikipedia

    • Pen:
"Ancient Egyptians developed writing on papyrus scrolls when scribes used thin reed brushes or reed pens. The quill pen was used in Qumran, Judea to write some of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and then introduced into Europe by around 700 AD before the founding of Islam. Ma'ād al-Mu'izz, the Fatimid Caliph of Egypt, was provided a fountain pen 250 years later" wikipedia

    • Diseases: Muslims had some innovative physicians back in the day (I don't think they first discovered how disease spreads or how to heal them), but today Nigeria and Pakistan have blocked vaccinations.

    • Arches: Uh, isn't it common knowledge that Rome started using majestic arches? Actually Mesopotamians invented arches

    • Religious Tolerance and Racial Equality... I won't touch that one.

    SF 9th Court Okays City's Anti-Catholic Hate-Speech

    Saturday, June 6, 2009

    From WorldNetDaily:

Authorities in San Francisco who called the beliefs of the Catholic Church "hateful," "callous," and an "insult," – and urged members to disobey them – have been given the go-ahead by a panel of judges on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to express such hate because it serves a "secular" purpose.

"It is not a stretch to compare the San Francisco Board's actions to that of the Nazi Germany policy of 'Gleichschaltung:' vilifying Jews as an auxiliary to and laying the groundwork for more repressive policies, including the final solution of extermination," said Richard Thompson, the president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, which represented the Catholic League and several individuals in the church in their complaint against the city.

"The policy of San Francisco is one of totalitarian intolerance of Christians of all denominations who oppose homosexual conduct," Thompson continued. "My concern is that if this ruling is allowed to stand, it will further embolden anti-Christian attacks."

Obama's "Stimulus" has Made Unemployment Worse!

From Randall Hoven at American Thinker:

I think it is time to call it "The Obama Recession." Using Obama's own numbers, we are now worse off than we would have been had Obama's stimulus not gone into effect. [...] The figure should speak for itself. Not only are the actual unemployment numbers worse than predicted with the Recovery Plan, they are worse than predicted had there been no stimulus at all! Does it get any clearer than this? The "stimulus" was a failure at best, and at worst, a hoax in the first place.

America too Socialist for the Russians

Obama's America has taken such a sharp turn to the left that even members of the formerly (and currently, increasingly) Communist Russia are sitting up and taking notice. They were there and they know the signs of approaching Marxism.

American capitalism gone with a whimper
—From a Russian Column at Pravada:

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people. [...]

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. [...] These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of “pure” free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a “bold” move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our “wise” Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper…but a “freeman” whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set “fair” maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.
