Protest for NYC Terror Trials in the Works

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

The members of the 9.12 Project are talking about putting together a protest of the terror trials in New York City with retired firefighters and police officers. If you are in the area and want more information you can email Please put “Terror Trial Protest” in the subject of your email.

So the question I have, that I haven't heard addressed (nor have I researched)is, if they get tried here in civilian court, where do they go if convicted? Do they end up in US prisons? Do they get deported and then sent to prison? Can we legally give them the death penalty? Do the punitive options differ between a military tribunal and a civilian trial? I'll be honest, it doesn't make any logical sense to me to try non-citizen terrorists as civilians.
