Obama Stimulates Many Jobs In China, Few Jobs In U.S.

Green energy is good right?

DallasNews.com- "Two weeks ago, U.S. Renewable Energy Group, led by Dallas investor Cappy McGarr, announced plans to build a $1.5 billion wind energy farm in West Texas. About a third of the money would come from federal stimulus funds. All of the wind turbines (and much of the remaining investment capital) would come from China.
“We believe that this project will greatly contribute to job creation, the goals of the Obama administration and our desire to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and increase our energy independence,” McGarr said in announcing the deal.

There would be perhaps 330 jobs created in Texas. Most would be temporary construction jobs. Meanwhile, thousands of Chinese workers in the northeastern industrial city Shenyang would build the labor-intensive turbines.

Obama really meant it when he said: "The rise of a strong and prosperous China can be a source of strength." But what about here at home?

I understand that we need a healthy world economy, and China plays a key role in that, but Obama is not the world's President. He's our President. Our interests should be first, not what the rest of the world thinks of him, and yet he seems to be campaigning all around the world, in a way. So maybe he wants to be popular, thinks he has all of the right answers for everybody, etc., but at the end of the day he's being told by the Chinese that his fiscal and social policies in America are hurting both us and them. Maybe the Chinese are racist, extremist teabaggers too. (*sarcasm*)

Obama is just paying lip service to what the Chinese want to hear, as they are our largest creditor, and he wants to keep them happy so that they continue to buy our (in the long term) worthless US treasury bonds.

Not that he is entirely wrong, as the more Chinese that have the dough to buy more U.S. goods, the better off we both are. And not that he is entirely right, either, as you point out, Mr. Galt, that when the Chinese economy grows as a result of beggaring the US in terms of jobs, this is in reality only a one way street, and the traffic on that street is going the wrong was as we in the US see it.
