Update! A driver in China runs down two pedestrians and everyone just walks by as they are critically injured. The joys of Mao's communism! video here

More standup comedy?

Manufacturing Czar Ron Bloom for the White House said:

"Generally speaking we get the joke. We know that the free market is nonsense. We know that the whole point is to gain the system, to beat the market, or at least find someone who will pay you a lot of money because they are convinced that there is a free lunch.

We know this is largely about power, that it's an adults-only, no limit game. We kinda agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun. And we get it, that if you want a friend you should get a dog."

Bloom has worked for unions for decades, including SEIU. Most recently he worked for the scandal-plagued United Steel Workers union, which received a fat bailout deal under him.

(a) It's not "gain the system", it's "game the system"

(b) He's right. Unrestricted free markets become the Wild Wild West in 10 nanoseconds. See also: Market Crash of 1929, Market Crash of 2008.

So you agree that the we should NOT be a Capitalist nation? What would you propose? Is the Free Market nonsense to you too? Do you agree with Mao? Should we all become slaves to a new Communist government so that only the government can game the system? Fascist? Communist? They all mean equal misery for all, after all- no freedoms, no choice, no Constitution, and if you haven't read the Communist Manifesto, like I have, it means no families and no love, and no religion, and no human rights. They can come and rape you and kill you and kill your children if they want to because they take away all of your rights. They can conduct cruel "scientific" experiments on you like Hitler did. They take your property, your rights, and you become a workhorse for the government. Would you allow Bush to create this for us.? NO WAY!!!! I wouldn't!!! I would NEVER let ANY human being save Christ HIMSELF because power corrupts. Capitalism is a protectionist system, and yes, it needs anti-trust laws to ensure that the free market isn't being manipulated- hence the "LAW" in the wild west. Wall Street is being manipulated right now, and Obama is all about it because he says it means his stimulus is working, but the fact of the matter is, he's creating a new fake sense of security so that people will invest in a system that is about to go back to equilibrium again when the bubble pops. Why is he doing that? Why is he setting us up for another fall? Does he WANT us to fail? Or does he want more proof for us that the Capitalist system is flawed so he can abolish it? Looking at the people he surrounds himself with, like this guy, says to me that YES he is manipulating it into failure because if we judge him by his friends then he agrees with Mao too- power should be taken at the barrel of a gun because we are idiots who can't have Capitalism anymore. Nevermind that deregulation in some sectors and over-legislation in others have led to the collapse and failures of the economy and of the healthcare system. Nevermind that it has been the government and the Fed that have been at fault for the crash all along. Nevermind that the FED itself is a BANK which is unconstitutional, and... who got the bailouts again?? Nevermind that they have sold us all to the Chinese because government welfare systems have been bankrupt for decades. Nevermind that the school system has failed us and made us the laughingstock of the world because it is socialized. Socialized systems go bankrupt in EVERY instance, so why are would we EVER allow it unless it is a power issue being made to look like a human-rights issue. The fact of the matter is that it IS a human rights issue that they are promising more than they can deliver. They are lying and usurping more power and in so doing they are destroying the Constitution, spitting all over the right to property and speech and the media, and everything that allows me to criticize Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, and on down the line. The Constitution is more perfect than the system we have now. If the Fed had never been created, if none of our socialized institutions had ever been created, if the people were still moral and God-loving then Charity would be something that the people would take care of themselves instead of pushing it off on the government to create welfare programs that will always go bankrupt in every instance, then we would not be where we are in this country. We are here. What would you propose? Like the students and intellectual in Tiananmen Square, I would rather be run over by a tank than be a Socialist/Communist/Fascist (they all lead to the same place anyway- crushing totalitarian reign).

Our country rose to the largest world economic power in such a short time because of capitalism. Yes, there are normal ups and downs, but on the whole when it is allowed to function properly, it works. It allows wealth to be made, not just for an elite few, but more money is available to EVERYONE. There is no other system that rewards success and hard work and hence, creates more of it, like ours does. If you don't believe this, go live in a socialist country for awhile. I hate it when liberals are flapping their jaws when they have no idea what life is like in those other countries.
