Teachers Union Is Pro-Gay Marriage But Teachers Are Anti-Gay-Marriage

Sunday, February 8, 2009

NPR found that while the California Teachers Association (CTA) gave $1.25 million to defeat proposition 8, individual teachers were twice as likely to donate to pro-proposition-8 groups than anti-proposition-8 groups.

The Teachers Association has been criticized for funding causes that have nothing to do with education. They have also been criticized for having leaders who are apparently more radical liberal than their members.

But next time around I expect a lot less money going to pro-traditional-marriage groups, now that the state is fine with hate crimes against the donors.

Just goes to show how much a small group of whiny folks in control can misrepresent their constituency. Wait a minute! Isn't that also descriptive of Obama, Pelosi and Reid? Hmmmmm. I wonder.
