Tom Hanks Bigoted Tirade Against Mormons

Friday, January 16, 2009

Any Tom Hanks fans out there? You probably didn't know that he is Executive Producer for HBO's hateful "Big Love," which portrays Mormonism as a dangerous polygamist cult, confusing FLDS and LDS. Well the "nicest guy in Hollywood" went on an appalling tirade wednesday over Proposition 8:

"The truth is this takes place in Utah [false], the truth is these people are some bizarre offshoot of the Mormon Church [false, that's only in your bigotted show, Tom], and the truth is a lot of Mormons gave a lot of money to the church [false, zero money was given to the church over this] to make Prop-8 happen. There are a lot of people who feel that is un-American, and I am one of them. I do not like to see any discrimination codified on any piece of paper, any of the 50 states in America, but here's what happens now. A little bit of light can be shed, and people can see who's responsible [of course the actual voters aren't responsible, because the vote will be overturned soon anyway], and that can motivate the next go around of our self correcting Constitution[wait, are you saying that our constituional processes are motivated by who supported which campaigns?], and hopefully we can move forward instead of backwards. So let's have faith in not only the American, but Californian, constitutional process[destroying the people's vote is very constitutional].”

another example of the ignorance of famous people

This quote just makes Tom Hanks sound even more ignorant than Anne Hathaway. That's pretty hard to do, but Hanks somehow succeeds.

You know, in all the wisdom and experience that ought to accompany age, you would think someone like Hanks would be better able to cut through the crap and avoid tainting his illusion of intelligence by touting blatant untruths.

Sadly (and not unexpectedly), that is not the case.

I am SOOOO sick and tired of the hollywood left thinking they have the right to tell the rest of america (all of us Un American gay bashers!) what to think and feel! I am Mormon, not a dollar of my money went to support this action or to the churh to support this action! First the actual church gave NO yes I said NO money other than to pay for a plane ticket to fly a church official to have a meeting about the prop to cal. Second, where are MY rights as an american under our constituation to vote as I believe! I do not hate gays, I simply believe that Marriage is ordained to be (from GOD)between a man and a woman!!!!!!!!!! I am not opossed to domestic partnerships to provide protection for things such as benefits or seperation laws ect. Second, an entire majority of christain churches pitched in to provide funds and volunteers to help make sure marriage was protected!! NOT just us hideous Mormons!! Third, monay Mormons and christians wanted to make sure this did not pass not only because of our beief in the laws of GOD, but because if it was passed, suddenly any gay couple wanting to marry in any church could sue that church for discrimination if they were refused service by that church! Where are our rights?????!! Not in LIBERAL AMERICA anymore!!! If I wasn't a christain I would tell you to go to HELL Mr. Hanks, oh and Brad Pitt and every other Hollywood BIGGOT! OOPS, I guess I did it anyway! One last thing all of you liberal biggots out there!!!!!!! MORE MONEY COMES IN FROM RELIGIOS GROUPS SUCH AS THE MORMONS TO HELP IN DISASTER AREAS AND HELPING PEOPLE WITH AIDS, ECT THAN ANY LIBERAL GROUP, ANYWHERE!
